Gillis Ide

Gillis studied architecture in Ghent and further refined his craft at the University of Valencia.
Later he enriched his architectural perspective through work with architects Stéphane Boens and Dries Bonamie, an experience that shaped his vision on bespoke architecture.
He eventually settled in the picturesque area of Ghent, where the regional architecture and traditional materials became a lasting source of inspiration.

At the heart of Gillis’ work lies a search for the essence of each client’s vision. Each project begins with a dialogue about aesthetics, and how one aspires to live. This later translates into a refined and timeless design. Whether urban or rural, renovation or new build, he anchors each home firmly within its environment, shaping the building and its surrounding landscape, by including the garden and interior atmosphere in his designs.
